ABOUT OUR FARM

We found our dream property on a serendipitous drive through the driftless countryside. We've created a hobby farm rooted in heritage and endangered breed conservation, responsible land management, and sustainable practices. You'll often see us outside working so feel free to stop and say hi or give us a honk as you pass by.

THE BEGINNING

We started with just Dan and Elizabeth and an empty barn. In March of 2021 we brought our first CVM/Leicester Longwool ewe lambs, Opal and Onyx, home. They were followed shortly after with our Scottish Highland Cow/Calf pair, Bess and Sassy. We are now up to over 20 sheep, 4 Scottish coos, and 1 barn cat. These girls help maintain the farm through rotational grazing (and mousing).

OUR FARM: GROWING FOR THE FUTURE

In addition to CVM/Leicester Longwool sheep, we are proud participants of the Valais Blacknose Sheep Society Breed-Up program, helping to establish this rare and lovable breed in the US. Heidi and Martina Hingis came to us in July of 2022  as our foundation ewe lambs and have brought us so much joy. Follow our journey of breeding, genetics, and shenanigans as we continue to grow and preserve this unique breed.
